We were stuck on a snowy road in the dark…
After shooting photos of our adventure towels, we were on our way back from a hot spring in my friend’s new truck. He wanted to test out the 4x4, so we turned down a snowy trail (that didn’t look too crazy) and followed some tire tracks.
We went for a ways and decided it’d be better to turn around before it got dark since we didn’t know where the trail led. Not realizing how slick it was and that the stock tires didn’t have enough traction, we got stuck.
From the looks of it, we should have gotten out easily, but that wasn’t the case. We tried pushing and putting sticks under the tires, but nothing was working, and by then, it was dark, and the temperature was quickly dropping.
With nothing in the truck except the towels from the hot springs, we decided to use them as a last resort, and just like that, the tires gripped, and we were out of there.
After washing them up, the towels were back to normal, as soft as ever, and are still used to this day. While I don’t recommend getting your car stuck 😑 or using towels for traction (unless it’s a last resort), knowing they can hold up after such a beating is a pretty cool testament to the products durability.
In conclusion, don’t get stuck in the woods, and always carry a versatile towel that can help in various sticky situations.
